Dr. Caroline Fruge graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine after receiving a Bachelor of Science in biology from Louisiana State University. After medical school, Dr. Fruge completed a comprehensive 3 year forefoot and rearfoot surgical residency at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills and served as chief resident in their final year.
As a former ballet dancer, Dr. Fruge has a special interest in sports medicine, injury prevention and pediatrics. As a podiatric surgeon, Dr. Fruge is experienced with elective reconstructive surgeries such as bunions, hammertoes, and ankle stabilization procedures. Her training has also equipped her with skills in limb salvage, trauma, diabetic foot care, heel pain, flat foot deformities, joint dysfunction, and nail ailments.
Dr. Fruge lives in New Jersey and enjoys spending time with their new baby as well as staying active through yoga, hiking, and dance.
